Let’s make 2024 a Happy Painting New Year!

Though my classes will be small (5-10 students) I want as many people as possible to reap the benefits and joys painting with watercolor can give you. Allowing your mind to refocus off problems and onto washes of outrageous shapes and glorious color is a great stress reliever. Learning to use runny, juicy watercolor, (the only medium that moves on its own) will challenge you to understand the value of letting go of control. I will share lots of academic information about color mixing, selecting & simplifying subject matter, creating strong composition by making design principles work in your paintings. And… just as important as learning to paint…there will be new friends to meet and fun to share.

Beginner Class is for those who have no painting experience. Suggested supply list will be provided.

Intermediate Class is for those who have experience painting. Students are welcome to use materials they already have, with possibly suggestions for additions (or subtractions).
